Objections on the Grounds of Safety

• Any Acceptor can, under the Safety Rules, raise an objection to the work on the ‘Grounds of Safety’.
• This could be because at the point of work some thing seems to be wrong
• Lock/Chain missing
• Something issuing from the isolated equipment
• Inadequate access etc.
• As the person who issued the safety document the Acceptor may come to you for advise for to report the problem.
• Note the concern along with time and date of report and suspend the work (if necessary withdraw the safety document).
• Inspect the work area, if safe to do so.
• Identify any error/omission (if possible and safe to do so)
• Refer to the duty Safety Controller.
