Objections on the Grounds of Safety
- Any Acceptor can, under the Safety Rules, raise an objection to the work on the ‘Grounds of Safety’.
- This could be because at the point of work some thing seems to be wrong
- Lock/Chain missing
- Something issuing from the isolated equipment
- Inadequate access etc.
- As the person who issued the safety document the Acceptor may come to you for advise for to report the problem.
- Note the concern along with time and date of report and suspend the work (if necessary withdraw the safety document).
- Inspect the work area, if safe to do so.
- Identify any error/omission (if possible and safe to do so)
- Refer to the duty Safety Controller.
